| | Rudy Ortiz is currently Assistant Director of the Salt Lake Region SBDC. His academic background consists of an MBA in International Business and a BBA in Management, both from Texas A&M. In addition, he was Instructor of Business at San Juan Basin Technical School in Cortez, CO and San Juan College in Farmington, NM where he taught Customer Service, Entrepreneurship with an emphasis on Business Plan Development, Human Relations, Introduction to Business, and Marketing.
Before moving to the Salt Lake area, he was General Manager and Chief Financial Officer for Quicktruss, Inc., an R&D and tool marketing firm in Farmington, NM. He also provided consulting services to other emerging technical companies in the Four Corners area.
Rudy was Director of the Corpus Christi, Texas Small Business Development Center (SBDC). In addition to his administrative duties, he delivered training on Marketing, Business Plan Development, and Strategic Business Analysis. He was the Center's public face and liaison between the Chamber of Commerce, various legislative/political bodies, funding sources, bank presidents, and the general public.
