First-time users, review the following 5 steps to success!

Receive Approval


STEP 1: 
Discuss with your supervisor your goals and make arrangements for released time to complete the training courses.  It is recommended that four hours per month be devoted to released time for training, such as:  Required Training, In-person Training Workshops, SkillSoft, etc.

Obtain Access


STEP 2: 
Click here to create a SkillSoft Account.  A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you within 5 business days, providing you with your username and password to login to SkillSoft.

STEP 3:
  Review the Professional Development Certification Tracks, also known as Track Learning Programs.  The Core Requirements Red Track includes essential training for all SLCC Staff and is recommended to be completed first.

The Track Learning Programs are a resource to help you achieve your Professional Development Goals.  However, you may complete courses that are not within a track.

Document Progress


STEP 4:
  Enroll into the Track Learning Program of your choice and SkillSoft will keep track of your progress for you!
 
Courses must be completed with a score of 70% or greater to reach the mastery level. 
Pre-testing is available.

Complete Certification


STEP 5:
  Upon completion of a track, fill-out the TRACK COMPLETION FORM to receive your certificate and $10 gift card to the Bookstore, CosmetologyFood Services, Grand Theater or Health & Wellness.
