Learn What Is New

Online Tutoring has never looked so good. StudyRoom offers a virtual reality workspace that is much more like our on-site Learning Centers. The services we offer for tutoring are also expanded. Check out our new offerings below.

  • NEW! Post a Question 24/7:
    • Leave a question on The Board, make sure you leave enough information for the tutor to help you get unstuck.

  • NEW! Appointments:
      • You can make an appointment for a half hour with a tutor during the regularly scheduled times. To make an appointment for online, go to the instructions for TutorTrac. After, you will receive an invitation through StudyRoom to join a Study Group and any further instructions will be handled there (the invitation may come only moments before your appointment, though it could come any time after you make your appointment). See the instructions for making an appointment here (link).
  • Drop-in live sessions:
    • Our old-trusty live sessions are still available, though our hours are new!
    • Live tutoring occurs at the Tables. You will see Tables with names listed on them and can select an appropriate table. The tutor will greet you as soon as possible.
    • You may be asked to work at a Table with other students in between time with a tutor and you may be allowed to watch other students’ questions being answered while you wait with yours.
    • The tutor may be scheduled for appointments during their time online. Check the announcements for available “drop-in” times. You may always drop in and see what happens or post a question if the tutor is not available to you.

Remember, for all online tutoring services, the tutor will not solve your problems for you, but they will help you learn the principles to get through them yourself.
