This 11-hour course meets for two consecutive days for training and examination. Operators are strongly encouraged to attend the LIVE course to achieve the best learning outcome. The Live Webinar is designed for operators who live outside the Wasatch front for whom travel is more difficult. Live Webinar participants should be engaged for the entirety of the course to assure the best learning outcome and ability to pass the exam.

Benefits
At the end of the course students will be able to detect and correct pool problems including contamination, filtration, disinfection, water balance and heating or air conditioning problems; calculate the amount of chemicals needed to adjust pool contamination or imbalance; take and pass the CPO exam.
Becoming a Certified Pool Operator can make a maintenance worker more employable.

* Do I need to apply for admission to SLCC to take this course?
- No; simply click on “Register Now” and follow the process to create a new Student Profile and register for your course.
* Where are classes held?
- The Live course is held at the Miller Campus of Salt Lake Community College, 9750 South 300 West. The Live Webinar is broadcast. Webinar students receive a link to the broadcast the day before the course begins
* What is the difference between the Live course and the Live Webinar?
- The LIVE course is taught in-person in a classroom setting. The LIVE Webinar is broadcast alongside the live course. It is preferred that operators who live in the Wasatch Front area attend the Live course. The Live Webinar is designed for operators who live outside the Wasatch front for whom travel is more difficult.
* Are materials included?
- A pool operator handbook and classroom handouts are included and will be provided in class to or via USPS.
* What is the refund and transfer policy?
- Full refunds are available with 48 hours’ notice. Operators are allowed to transfer to a future course. Call Mykel Severson at 801-957-5407 to request a refund or transfer.
