IPC Certification Courses

The School of Applied Technology offers initial IPC certification courses for those who need skills and credentials for employment. Training and support for workmanship skills provided, as required by IPC. Courses are offered during flexible times and days. 

  • KELA 0172, IPC-A-610G Cert Specialist, 36 hours, $158.96*
  • KEMA 0167, IPC-J-STD-001G Cert Specialist, 36 hours, $158.96*
  • KEMA 0169, IPC/WHMA-A-620C Certification, 60 hours, $221.60*

Re-Certification Courses

The School of Applied Technology offers IPC recertification courses for those who need to renew their credentials. Training and support for workmanship skills not provided. Courses are offered during flexible times and days.

  • KELA 0175, IPC-A-610G CIS Recertification, 12 hours, $96.32*
  • KEMA 0170, IPC-J-STD-001G CIS Recertification, 16 hours, $106.76*
  • KEMA 0171, IPC-A-620C CIS Recertification, 12 hours, $96.32*

* Does not include the application fee of $40.00 for new students. If needed, books and supplies are extra.

Requirements

  • Instructor approval required to enroll in recertification courses
  • Students must have prior industry experience including the ability to perform all required hands-on skills such as soldering and assembly (recertification courses)
  • Current or prior IPC CIS certificate strongly recommended (recertification courses)
  • Ability to distinguish differences in color (all)

Advising Notes

KPPT courses need to have their prerequisites confirmed by the Electronics department. Students must e-mail transcripts, etc., to department before registration/scheduling is approved.
