A Letter from the President

Dear Colleagues,

Happy new year! I am so glad to be gathering again as a college community for SLCC360! I’ve worked at many different institutions, and Salt Lake Community College is unique in its commitment to invite faculty and staff to come together each year to be a part of shaping the future of the college.

This year is no different: as we build out the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, we need your insights and expertise to ground our plans in meaningful actions and outcomes that will lead to healthier and happier lives for our students and their communities.

This year’s SLCC360 format has been crafted to resemble an academic conference, with a shorter opening session and more curated breakout sessions to encourage individual learning and engagement. The event will feed your mind and your belly, so make sure you enjoy the light breakfast and lunch provided.

Boxed Lunch Pickup

Main Floor, Student Center

Boxed lunches and drinks will be available for pickup exclusively on the main floor of the Student Center. Once you have collected your lunch, you are welcome to enjoy it with your colleagues around the campus.

Dietary Requests: If you requested a special boxed lunch, it will be available at a separate designated table on the main floor.

About This Session

In fall 2025, the Ideal Student Learning Experience (ISLE) Task Force—29 faculty and staff representing every division of the college—came together to identify the goals and activities most essential to supporting students from their first point of exploration through post‑completion success. Their work resulted in the Ideal Student Learning Experience Report, which outlines ten core goals designed to strengthen clarity, connection, momentum, and meaningful learning for all SLCC students.

Your Role Today

In this interactive session, we’ll briefly review the ISLE goals and elements, then invite participants to help identify the highest‑impact activities SLCC should prioritize over the next three years. Your insight and experience—whether from the classroom, student services, operations, or any other part of the college—are essential to shaping a focused, actionable set of institutional priorities.

Join us in helping create a practical, college‑ready roadmap that will guide planning, resource alignment, and collective action.
