Community Partners

Partner with the Thayne Center

The Thayne Center Community Partnerships program was founded to help support community organizations, foster lasting, mutually beneficial relationships and serve as a resource to the community. We establish capacity-building relationships with community organizations, facilitate service-learning development opportunities for faculty, and coordinate service leadership programs for students who are out to change the world.

Thanks for your interest in partnering with the Thayne Center. Here is everything you need to initiate or renew your partnership:

Are you a returning community partner? Here are your steps:

  1. If you have had recent staffing changes, or would like a refresher contact Rebecca at Rebecca.vanmaren@slcc.edu to schedule a site visit and partnership orientation (which can be done virtually). If not, review our Partnership Overview document, Rebecca is available for any questions you might have.
  2. Complete the 2020-2021 Community Partnership Agreement via DocuSign. Please note you’ll need to upload your certificate of liability insurance or your volunteer waiver at the same time.
  3. Complete the Community Partner Intake & Renewal Survey.
  4. Complete the 2019-2020 Impact Survey.

Are you interested in becoming a community partner? Here are your steps:

  1. Contact Rebecca at Rebecca.vanmaren@slcc.edu to schedule a site visit and partnership orientation. These typically last about an hour at your location, but can also be done virtually.
  2. Complete the 2020-2021 Community Partnership Agreement vis DocuSign. Please note you’ll need to upload your certificate of liability insurance or your volunteer waiver at the same time
  3. Complete the Community Partner Intake & Renewal Survey.
