Accreditation

Salt Lake Community College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), a regional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

Throughout the 2013 - 2014 academic year SLCC will be drafting its comprehensive Mission Fulfillment and Sustainability Report (Year Seven Report). In Fall 2014, a committee of external evaluators will conduct an onsite visit to evaluate the institution with regard to NWCCU Standards Three, Four, and Five and prepare a report of findings and a recommendation regarding accreditation.

In preparation for this visit and evaluation, Institutional Effectiveness has formed an accreditation team to oversee the production and publication of the Mission Fulfillment and Sustainability Report. The team has developed the following handout and timeline to guide the process. We look forward to working with many of you as we complete this important process.
