Statement: It represents my community because the girl posing is my friend, the background is an artwork that's a part of the community. Family and friends are a vision i always have of a beloved community. Originally, I was going to take the artwork by itself until my friend was goofing off walking and posing. I even told her "Pose!" just goofing off. "My artwork was inspired by whom or what?" I really don't know how to answer it since I was just messing around. Throughout this project, I realized literally anything can be an artwork in a way. It's important to me because the background shows a piece of my community and my friend in it represents how I have friends in my community.
