Adult & Continuing Education

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, individuals entering the workforce today should expect to significantly upgrade their skills or completely retrain at least three times in their career. In today’s fast-moving economy, a person’s education is never really complete.

Once basic skills are learned, many SLCC students join or re-join the workforce and then cycle back through our programs for advanced training in their field, for re-certification, to learn a related skill, or even to start down an entirely new career path. SLCC’s continuing education options include general business training, customized job training, skills upgrade training and much more. Special assistance, pre-training, and technical training is available for students with disabilities and those facing social, financial, or other challenges through the SLCC Skills Center.

SLCC also offers services for entrepreneurs and ongoing enterprises through the Small Business Development Center state and regional offices, the Miller Business Innovation Center, and corporate training with available Custom Fit and Short Term Intensive Training funding.
