On-Campus Concurrent Enrollment

SLCC On-Campus Concurrent Enrollment enables students to take classes at the college during the summer and after the high school day. The classes will be offered at several Salt Lake Community College campuses, and students will still get credit toward high school graduation as well as a college degree.

Detailed instructions and information regarding On-Campus classes are located below. Be sure to read the packet thoroughly before you attempt to register for classes.

Are On-Campus Concurrent Enrollment classes right for you?

  • Students who are entering or are in 11th or 12th grade are eligible for On-Campus Concurrent Enrollment.   Once students graduate from high school, they are not eligible for Concurrent Enrollment classes.
  • Many courses will mix high school students with adult students in the same class.
  • Classes will be taught by College faculty and follow the college schedule.
  • We recommend 3 to 6 credit hours and will allow a maximum of 9 credit hours in this program.
  • There is no charge for tuition, however you are responsible to provide your own transportation, supplies, books and fees.
  • You must be able to attend classes according to the College schedule.  Students will not be excused from college classes to participate in high school activities.
  • ATTENDANCE IS VITAL. If you will miss more than 2 consecutive classes, make arrangements with the teacher in advance or consider withdrawing from the class.
  • Expect at least two (2) hours of homework outside of class for every hour you spend in class.

  • You MUST submit the completed registration form signed by a high school counselor or administrator and the signed Student and Parent/Guardian Memorandum of Understanding. Students who register for classes but fail to submit these forms to the Concurrent Enrollment office by the first day of class will be dropped from class.
