High school adjunct teachers are required to teach to and cover the entire SLCC curriculum. The curriculum for any given course is outlined in the college-approved Course Curriculum Outline (CCO), syllabus and any additional materials provided by the SLCC academic department through the SLCC faculty liaison. Adjunct Teachers are required to cover all of the same learning objectives and outcomes, utilize the same textbook, and in some cases administer the same standardized exams, assignments, and projects as their on-campus counterparts. General education courses additionally have an ePortfolio component.
The CCO for any concurrent enrollment class is sent out in your Teacher Approval letter or can be acquired through MyCE or by contacting your concurrent enrollment liaison responsible for that course. Your SLCC liaison contact information can be found through MyCE.
Adjunct teachers may request a desk copy of a textbook from the SLCC department by working with the SLCC faculty liaison. SLCC does not provide textbooks for students. If books are to be purchased from the SLCC Bookstore, please call 801-957-4045 before July 1 to order the books. Policies on purchasing student textbooks vary among school districts. Contact your school CE coordinator for additional information.
