Salt Lake Community College will offer our annual Pyrotechnics course - a combination of indoor and outdoor training - every Monday night in October beginning Monday, October 5th from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the Miller Campus located at 9750 South 300 West.
- Work at becoming ATF Certified
- Assist with shows as part of your training
- Possible Internship with Lantis Fireworks
- Must be 18 years of age
- Criminal Background check required (see below)

Instructions for Completing the Background Check
- Click Here for the application for Criminal History Record Review (background check).
- There is a $10 cost for processing, payable to Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification.
- Follow the instructions provided with the application. Once completed you can mail it to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification, Box 148280, Salt Lake City, UT 84114. Or you can take it to them at 3888 West 5400 South in Taylorsville.
- If you mail it, you will need to have a law enforcement agency provide the finger print services. If you take it to them, they will finger print you at their site.
- You will need to ask them to send the results of the background check to our office. When an application is made by mail or an applicant is not present at the time the background check is conducted, a waiver is required.
