The Deseret News features the SLCC Community Writing Centers West-Side Stories program. "As the elderly poured out their experiences, the youths sat in awe, asked questions about how it used to be, and one could sense a touch of pride as they heard the wonderful things and times that created the west side."

November 2009

The Danish Rotary District 1470 essay competition "My life and My World in 2050"

The Danish Rotary District 1470 is offering 8,000 euros and a trip to Copenhagen for the first prize winner of an essay competition concerning a vision of climate and life on earth in the year 2050. Second prize winners will receive 3,000 euros; third prize winners will receive 1,000 euros. The submission deadline is November 25, 2009.
