Dean of Students HomeDr. Marlin R. Clark, came to SLCC in August 2005, from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington as the Director of Career Services.
Marlin has a great deal of experience in leadership, management and administration. He has developed and implemented strategies, programs and services to ensure education of the whole person. He has experience establishing policies and procedures, developing curriculum and utilizing student development theories to determine learning and outcomes in the classroom. He has overseen the marketing and advertising of career fairs, seminars and other student career development programs; has chaired numerous urban planning committees and created written materials to promote education, social and civic awareness in Spokane and the West region.
The Dean of Students Office serves the college community by creating, supporting and assessing multiple opportunities for student involvement and engagement on campus. We are responsible for building innovative and collaborative programs and responding to the needs of a diverse student population.

The Dean of Students Office will provide effective investigation and adjudication of Student Code of Conduct issues. Daily responsibility for good conduct rests with the students. All members of the College community are expected to use reasonable judgment in their daily campus life and to show due concern for the welfare and rights of others.
