Serving on the Council What is it like serving on the Alumni Council? Serving on the SLCC Alumni Council is a very rewarding experience. It allows former students and community leaders to set the course for the Alumni Association and have a great impact on current students and the college. Collaborating with other members of the council to advance the mission of the Association can be very rewarding. When decisions are reached, plans are implemented, and lives are positively affected, there is a satisfaction that comes from doing something extraordinary. Who can serve on the Alumni Council? - Graduates who hold a diploma, certificate, or a degree from SLCC
- Former non-graduate students who completed in good standing a minimum of 45 credit hours
- Any honorary member who is approved by a two-thirds vote of council members attending regular meetings providing a quorum is present
What is required to serve on the Alumni Council? Serving on the Alumni Council means attending monthly council meetings, which last no more than two hours. While at those meetings you will be required to collaborate with your fellow council members and the Alumni Coordinator. Additional responsibilities will be filled on a volunteer basis. |
