Course Development

Course Development includes 5 phases: Plan, Design, Build, Teach, and Review. Each of these parts are important to the completion of an awesome learning experience for the student.

Development Process

PLAN: This part of the cycle defines how your class fits into the department goals, states your goals/objectives of the class, and prepares you and the instructional designer for the next phase: design.

DESIGN: You and your instructional designer will create a WebCT pilot of the class with current and newly created materials. After the pilot is reviewed, you will be ready to build your course.

BUILD: You build your course in WebCT using content, assessments, communications and interactivity. After the course is completed it is reviewed and ready to teach.

TEACH: You teach the class that you have built.

REVIEW: This part of the cycle is not the end, but is the beginning of the Review Cycle which helps improve and enhance your class over time.
