The Electronics Technology department has several programs that will meet the needs of a student seeking training in Electronics. We offer day and evening programs, credit and flexible open-entry/open-exit non-credit, competency based programs and courses. Each program is designed to assist the student to reach their goals. The non-credit program articulates to the degree program, for continued education.

Electronics Technology Department Degrees-Credit Programs

Students can earn either an A.S. or A.A.S. degree in Electronics Technology. or an A.A.S. degree with an emphasis in Biomedical Equipment Technology. The program offers both day and evening classes, generally held fall, spring, and summer semesters.

The SLCC Electronics Technology department courses articulate and transfer to Weber State University toward a Bachelor of Science (BS) Electronics Engineering Technology.  Other institutions may also accept SLCC course work.

Electronics Technology Department Certificates-Credit

Skills Center - Electronics & Computer Technology

Certificates of Completion and Certificates:

There are many advantages to earning a certificate from the Skills Center.  Programs are Open Entry/Open Exit.  You can start the program whenever you are ready – whether that is the beginning, middle, or end of a traditional semester. Open exit means you complete your program when you have satisfied all requirements, not at the end of a semester.

Skills Center programs are also Flexible Performance Based.  Courses and instruction are individualized, allowing the student to work at a pace that is appropriate for their learning abilities.
