Assessment
The English department faculty have always placed an emphasis on assessment in their classroom teaching. More recently, though, the department has recognized the importance of conducting more systematic assessments of courses. For the academic year 2006-2007, the coordinators for our three major writing courses (English 1010, English 2010 and English 2100) initiated course wide assessments in order to see how students were achieving particular course objectives.
