 Emotional Health
Being emotionally healthy doesn't mean you are happy all the time, but it does mean that you are able to experience an entire range of human emotions and still reach balance in your everyday life. But sometimes our emotions can get out of control. Feelings of extreme sadness, anger and fear can interfere with everyday functioning. Everyone experiences emotional troubles at sometime in their life and it's okay to ask for help. Emotional health is heavily connected to physical, social, spiritual and intellectual health. SLCC Health and Wellness Services realizes the importance of emotional health and promotes seeking balance by: - Offering Counseling to students, faculty and staff.
- Providing outreach to classes in the form of Presentations and workshops.
- Providing information on a number of emotional health issues such as:
- Depression
- Suicide
- Anxiety
- Eating Disorders
- Domestic Violence
- Rape
Feel free to download one of our information sheets on any of the topics listed above located in the forms section. If you need more information on emotional health, or would like to talk to someone about emotional health issues, call Health and Wellness Services.
