In addition to sites throughout the Salt Lake Valley, Salt Lake Community College also has a location in Tooele located at 66 West Vine Street, just down the street from the existing Skills Center site at 1021 West Vine Street.  The Tooele Center offers courses in a wide variety of subjects including accounting, computer essentials, paralegal, interior design, math and others.

Tooele Center is a great place to earn a Certificate in Accounting Principles issued through the Continuing Education division. The required coursework for the certification includes Financial Accounting I and II, Managerial Accounting, Computer Essentials and Financial Mathematics.

Adult Basic Education courses are also offered at the Tooele Center through the Skills Center. Instruction is designed to assist students who want to improve their reading, writing or math skills or who are studying for the GED. Classes are held Monday and Wednesday, 6 – 10 p.m., or as scheduled.

The Tooele Skills Center continues to offer hands-on open-entry/open-exit individualized competency-based training including keyboarding, ten-key, computer concepts/Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Business English, Customer Service, Accounting, QuickBooks, and Medical Terminology.  These programs/classes are offered Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., or as scheduled.

Customized training to meet the specific needs of your workforce can be offered at one of our convenient campus locations or at your own business site. This flexible training is economically priced and some state assistance may be available for qualified employers.
