Registered Nurse

Provide general nursing care, administer prescribed medications orally, intravenously, or by Nurse checking medicationsinjection, prepare equipment, help physicians with treatment and exams, take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, take and record blood pressure, observe patients for reaction to medications and treatment, change dressings, clean wounds and incisions, maintain medical record, prepare nursing care plans, explain procedures and treatments. Teaching of clients and collaboration with other health care providers.

Nursing is a practice and an academic discipline concerned with promoting, maintaining, and restoring health.  Nurses interact holistically with clients and are concerned with all people in various stages of health regardless of age, sociocultural, or economic background.  Nursing practice extends beyond the individual to family, groups, and community.
