OTA Graduation Statistics

Students graduating from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Salt Lake Community College wishing to practice occupational therapy in the state of Utah must comply with Utah licensure requirements. To view requirements, see their website at www.DOPL.utah.gov.

Graduates at Salt Lake Community College have consistently demonstrated an excellent passing rate for the certification exam required by the state of Utah for licensure. This national examination is provided by the National Board for the Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Our program statistics for the past few years include:

Class of 2002:

• Number of graduates – 13
• Number of first time test takers – 13
• Number of first time test takers passing the exam – 13
• Percent of first time test takers passing the exam – 100%

Class of 2003:

• Number of graduates – 6
• Number of first time test takers – 6
• Number of first time test takers passing the exam – 6
• Percent of first time test takers passing the exam – 100%

Class of 2004:

• Number of graduates – 10
• Number of first time test takers – 10
• Percent of first time test takers passing the exam - 90 %
• Number of second time test takers passing the exam – 1
• Total percent of test takers passing the certification exam – 100%

Class of 2005:

• Number of graduates – 7
• Number of first time test takers – 7
• Number of first time test takers passing the exam - 7
• Percent of first time test takers passing the exam - 100 %

Class of 2006:

• Number of graduates – 14
• Number of first time test takers – 14
• Number of first time test takers passing the exam - 13
• Percent of first time test takers passing the exam - 93 %
• Number of second time test takers passing the exam - 1
• Total percent of test takers passing the certification exam - 100 %

Class of 2007:
