          Section 1.01   ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL
 
 
I.   PURPOSE
 
     To define the membership, purpose, responsibilities, and authority of 
     the Administrative Council.
 
 
 
II.  MEMBERSHIP
 
     A.   The following are members of the Administrative Council:
          1.   President
          2.   Assistant to the President
          3.   Director of Planning and Research
          4.   Director of Development
          5.   Director of College and Public Relations
          6.   Vice President for Instruction
          7.   Assistant to the Vice President for Instruction
          8.   Assistant to the Vice President for Special Projects
          9.   Dean of the School of Business and Industry
          10.  Dean of the School of Technology and General Education
          11.  Dean of the School of Continuing Education
          12.  Dean of the Skills Center
          13.  Vice President for Administration
          14.  Controller
          15.  Director of Facilities
          16.  Director of Personnel
          17.  Dean of Students
          18.  Registrar
          19.  College Center Director
          20.  President of the College Senate
          21.  President of the Classroom Teachers Association
          22.  President of the Classified Staff Association
          23.  President of the Professional Staff Association
          24.  President of the Associated Students of the College
 
     B.   All members of the Council have an equal right to participate in
          Council deliberations and voting.
 
 
 
III. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL
 
     The Administrative Council:
 
     A.   Reviews and recommends to the President through a voting process 
          all College policies. Upon the approval of the President and the
          Institutional Council, these policies will become part of the
          official Policies of the College as contained in the Policy and
          Procedures Manual.
 
     B.   Reviews and recommends to the President procedures that are 
          required to carry out policy that has been set by the Institutional 
          Council or State Board of Regents.
 
     C.   Acts as a sounding board to provide information, data and feedback 
          to the President to help in making administrative decisions.
 
     D.   Provides a forum for new ideas and potential programs.
 
     E.   Functions to disseminate information from the President and others
          the Council and from the Council to the College as a whole.
 
     F.   Coordinates the scheduling of events.
 
     G.   Provides a forum for solving problems.
 
     H.   May also assign sub-committees to do research and recommend 
          solutions, plans and reports; or to provide information to the Council 
          as a whole.
 
 
 
IV.  MEETINGS
 
     A.   The Council meets at least once per month at a regularly scheduled
          day and time and more often if required to address current matters.
 
     B.   The President acts as the Council Chairman and conducts the meeting
          using the prepared agenda.
 
     C.   The official agenda of the meeting is coordinated and prepared by a
          person appointed by the President. The agenda is divided into action
          items, information items and other items. Any voting member of the
          Council may submit an item for the agenda.
 
     D.   The minutes of the meeting are kept by a person appointed by the
          President. Minutes of the previous meeting are approved at each
          meeting, followed by a report on the action items that are pending.
