![]() Diesel Systems Technology The Diesel Systems Technology Program is competency-based. Students learn the entry-level skills needed to maintain and repair equipment such as diesel trucks, buses, and construction equipment, including bulldozers, earth movers, and cranes. Students learn through hands-on training using the most current and up-to-date engines and chassis possible. Students also learn how to use diagnostic equipment such as the dynamometer, which measures engine power, and special fuel injection equipment. During summer term, students take Welding and prepare for the Class A Commercial Driver's License. Students who successfully complete this program may wish to continue their career opportunities by completing the AAS degree in Diesel Systems Technology with SLCC.
