Q: Will any of the STP Modules count toward in-person training qualifications for any of the Color Tracks?
A: Yes, the Supervision Management Gold Track.
Q: I'm almost finished with one of the Color Tracks and I still need to complete the in-person training requirement. Who do I contact to request a workshop be sponsored by this track?
A: Contact Deanne Arvizu, Staff Development Manager.
Q: Which Color Tracks does Support Staff Day and Supervisor Day count towards completion of?
A: Each event has a variety of workshops offered, check the registration schedule for the SkillSoft Color Track that it is sponsored by. For example each track has a code that corresponds with the Color Track.
Q: How do you know which track a workshop is sponsored by?
A: The posting will state the track along with a Certification Code, refer to list below:
HR## = Core Requirements
HC## = Communications
HF## = Accounting/Financial Management
HA## = Office Support
HM## = Project Management
HH## = Health
HY## = Technology
HT## = Supervision Management
HE## = Customer Service
HS## = Counts towards completion of any Color Track
In-person Supervisory Training Program (STP)
Q: Who can register?
A: All Good, Not-So-Good, Burned-Out, and Wanna-Be Supervisors. (You must have approval from your supervisor prior to registering.)
Q: How do I register?
A: Registration is completed on the Staff Development SharePoint Site found under "lists" on the Shortcuts Menu.
Q: Do I need to attend all 8 Modules?
A: All new participants are required to registered for all 8 modules. However, if you are unable to attend one of the modules, you may make them up at future STP Sessions.
Q: How often is this program offered?
A: Twice a year at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.
Q: Is this training free?
A: Yes, all training sponsored by Staff Development is free to all Staff including FT, PT and Work Study.
