Gardens

Taylorsville Redwood Garden was the original community garden of SLCC. It was founded on March 2, 2010. The garden was established by students, staff and faculty that saw a need and opportunity for a community garden at Redwood campus.  Since then, the initiative has thrived and grown to include 48 boxes with almost four times the space, a compost area, and two fruit trees. Additional gardens have been set up at our South City, Jordan and Miller Campuses. SLCC Gardens are here to promote sustainable gardening practices and to empower students, staff and faculty to teach our grow their own fresh produce for both themselves and the SLCC community.
