Submit your writing to a Writing Advisor

Recently we've noted that responses from our online tutoring service are being captured by spam filters.  If you do not receive a response from a Writing Advisor within 48 hours on the week days, please check your spam filter files for a response.  THIS IS PARTICULARLY TRUE OF HOTMAIL ACCOUNTS.  IF YOU USE A HOTMAIL ACCOUNT OUR RESPONSE WILL BE CALLED SPAM BY HOTMAIL.

When you submit this form you will receive a confirmation email.  If you do not receive this confirmation email, check your spam filter.   Tell your spam filter to allow messages from bessie.englab.slcc.edu.

We encourage you to use your SLCC MyMail account rather than an off-campus email service.  To the best of our knowledge, MyMail does not spam filter messages from ETUT.

If you have any questions or do not receive a response within 48 hours please call 801-957-4893 or contact Clint Gardner at clint.gardner@slcc.edu.

Name:

Your E-mail address:

If this is a Hotmail or Yahoo Mail account, our response will be sent to your spam folder.  We cannot prevent this from happening.  You will need to train your Hotmail or Yahoo Mail spam filter to allow email from bessie.englab.slcc.edu.  To save yourself the hassle, we recommend that you use another email account such as your SLCC MyMail account.

Are you a Salt Lake Community College Student?* Yes No

Your Student Number (S-Number)*:

*The SLCC Student Writing Center only accepts submissions from students attending Salt Lake Community College. We no longer respond to submissions from non-SLCC students. If you do not provide us with your S-number, we will be unable to respond to your submission.

Which class is this for (class name/number):

Please type a thorough description of your assignment, and what you would like us to respond to. What, exactly, are you being asked to do? What are the requirements of this assignment? Who is the intended audience? Unless the tutor knows the requirements of your paper and what you would like to focus on, she or he will be unable to respond to you, and will write back to you asking for more specific information.

If you have a copy of the assignment your instructor gave you, it would be best to type it in here, as well as your own description and questions. If you don't describe your assignment we will write back to you asking you to describe it.

Don't forget to write what you would like the tutor to focus on, as well:
