SERVICE COUNCIL
Students in the Service Council take on a leadership role with the Thayne Center for Service & Learning. Participants complete a minimum of 100 hours during the semester on a variety of service initiatives. For example, Service Council members coordinate programs like the Service Buffet, the Traveling Talent Show, and more. They also receive substantial training on project planning, reflection, and civic responsibility.
Leadership positions are available to both new and returning students who have prior experience with service, community activities, and/or civic engagement. Participants receive a partial tuition waiver worth $700 each semester.
