| What types of jobs are available in this area of study? Student may procure jobs in travel agencies, cruise lines, transportation companies, resorts and hotels, tourism companies and corporate travel departments. |
| Is there a state or national test to qualify as a travel agent? Students who want to be "travel agents" take the national Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) exam. |
| How much time is allotted to complete each course? Each course is offered as half-semester courses, 1st half or 2nd half of semester. Students need to complete the coursework in whichever 7 weeks of semester they are enrolled in. |
| How much time does it take to complete the certificate program? Full-time students can complete the program in two semesters. |
| Is there a grade requirement? Yes, students must score 80% or better on assignments and exams. |
| Is there a certificate or degree available in this area of study? A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to students who complete the 14 required courses with a grade of 80% or better. |
