Inclement Weather and Emergency Closure Advisory |
We will be posting the most up to date weather advisory possible.
Please check back here frequently to see if your class has been canceled, due to power outages or snow etc.
You should also receive an email from your professor, to your school email, in case of a school closure or class cancellation.
It is the intent of the University Center to remain open and operational. The Center is a department of Salt Lake Community College and will cancel classes and offices when advised to do so by the SLCC administration if severe weather or other emergency conditions at a SLCC campus exist.
Determining whether or not to cancel a class is under most circumstances the prerogative of the instructor. Occasionally during bad weather, administrative offices of partner institutions may cancel a class due to bad weather in their immediate geographic area while the weather in Salt Lake will not necessarily require this action. On these occasions, either the program coordinator or instructor may choose to hold the class.
When classes are cancelled due to weather or other emergencies, a message will be on the University Center Director’s voice mail as well as posted on all appropriate classroom doors. Students and faculty may call the SLCC weather number for details at 957-INFO. Please note that canceling classes at SLCC does not necessarily imply that the College is closed. Please note that the INFO message will indicate the type of closure.
