REQUIREMENTS                                                                                        

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the RN-BS partnership program with the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College must complete the following SLCC requirements or equivalent:

  1. Complete an AS degree in Health Science with the Registered Nursing Option.
  2. Be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  3. Take three additional classes:   
             a. Math 1040:  Intro to Statistics   
             b. Chem 1120/1125: Elementary Bio-organic Chemistry and lab   
             c. Biol 2060/2065:  Microbiology and lab (New for students starting Fall 2010)

All prerequisite courses require a grade of "C" or higher. C- grades are not acceptable.The deadline for submission is February 15 every year.

Please note: There is no time limit for pre-requisites, but it is highly recommended to repeat Anatomy and Physiology if they are over 3 years old at the time of application.      

Students interested in transfer are encouraged to meet with an advisor and discuss course sequencing and related general education courses. Requirements are subject to change so ongoing planning is essential.
