Join us this month as we celebrate LGBTQIA+ history month. There are different ways you can engage and stay informed.

This unique event will feature a range of exciting components designed to empower, educate, and uplift our community: - Thrifty and Thriving: We will have a FREE thrift store for anyone looking to freshen up their wardrobe - especially intended for our Trans family. - Get Love Giveaways: From binders to water bottles, packers to reusable cutlery, you're gonna wanna participate! (Bring your own water bottle for an extra raffle ticket!) - Workshops that Empower: We'll be talking about the legal name and gender marker change process, binding and transition 101, and Queer sustainability! |

| Two-Spirit Powwow | Friday, Oct. 6 | 5 - 10pm | LAC | The Two-Spirit Powwow is a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture, identity, and resilience. This annual gathering brings together Indigenous communities and allies to honor the rich heritage of Two-Spirit individuals, who hold a unique and honored place in Indigenous traditions. | All Hallow's Queer Ball | Thursday, Oct. 26 | 7 - 10pm | STC SEC | The GSSRC and Queer Student Association cordially invite you to our FREE Halloween Ball, All Hallow's Queer. Be ready to experience a hauntingly good time with an evening of music, dancing, and expression. Invite your friends and the community, as this event is open to anyone college-aged and above, whether a SLCC student or not. Don't forget to dress to impress! There will be a costume contest with great prizes. The categories are: Queer-Coded Villain; Glitz and Glam; and Upcycled Couture. |
