Surgical technologists are individuals with specialized education who function as members of the surgical team in the role of scrub person. During the centuries the number of surgical procedures performed by doctors has risen exponentially. In fact, the number of procedures is expected to continue to increase in the coming years. That's why surgical technicians are so important to the success of surgery in our society. They play many important roles in the operating room.
