The Student Writing Center will be closed for Spring Break (March 13-20, 2010).  The closure includes online tutoring.

The SLCC Student Writing Center helps you to improve as a writer and to succeed as a student.  We offer free writing advising (tutoring) to Salt Lake Community College students both in our physical locations as well as online for all SLCC classes.

Online Tutoring

Look Who's Live Online!

Live-online tutorial sessions are now being offered by SLCC’s Student Writing Center.

Students who can't makeit to one of four campus locations (Taylorsville, South City, Jordan, or Sandy) can get hooked up online!  It’s easy.  Visit our "Live Online Tutoring" page to find out how to make an appointment with one of the tutors or follow the easy steps to access the WIMBA classroom.  A web cam and headset are helpful but not necessary; a toll-free phone number is also available.

Email tutoring

Our online resources also include an online email response service.  Please note that this service is very different from working with a tutor live and will require much more time than a standard in-person of live online tutorial session.  To submit your writing online for response from a writing advisor, click on the "Submit Your Writing."
