Admissions

Depending on the program that you are enrolling in, your admissions steps may vary. If you have any questions about the process, please email us at SATTS@slcc.edu or call us at 801-957-3350.


Credit Program Students

  1. Apply to the college at Application for Admission
  2. Complete your assessment – students will either need to submit SAT (not to be confused with SLCC’s SAT programs) or ACT scores or take the Accuplacer placement test
  3. Attend new student orientation.
  4. Register for classes
  5. Pay your tuition

Applied Technology Programs

If you’re an ESL student:

All other students follow these steps to enroll in SAT programs:

  1. Apply for Admission
  2. Complete your assessment
    • You’ll have to take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) to determine your academic skill level.
    • You may want to familiarize yourself with the TABE before taking the test.
    • Contact the number listed at the SLCC Testing Center that works best for you to take the test.
  3. Meet with an advisor
    • After completing your assessment, meet with an advisor to review your test results and programs, and to complete orientation. 
    • Advisors are available in room 1-061 G at South City Campus, TB 516 at Taylorsville Redwood Campus, or Room JHS 047 at Jordan Campus
    • Contact 801-957-3354.
  4. Pay Tuition & Schedule Courses
    • Be sure you apply early for financial aid.
    • Before you register for courses, you’ll have to pay your tuition at Cashier Services.
    • Once tuition is paid for your first course/s, your advisor will help you with the registration process.
