The Curtis Youngman Excellence In Education Award

After 37 years of teaching and mentoring SLCC students, Curtis Youngman retired in 2016. To honor his incredible legacy, several of his former students established the Curtis Youngman Excellence In Education Award, which is dedicated to helping future educators as they study at SLCC.

The Curtis Youngman Excellence in Education Award is a merit-based scholarship that is intended to support a promising second-year Pre-Teaching student at Salt Lake Community College, who is seeking a career in education and is passionate about becoming a mentor to future generations.

If you are a former student or colleague of Curtis Youngman’s, it is very likely your life changed for the better after meeting him. Please help us pay tribute to this amazing educator and mentor by making a donation to the Curtis Youngman Excellence in Education scholarship endowment and spreading the word to others.
