About SLCC

Now you know what drives us, but what’s SLCC really like? Here are a few highlights: we’ve been teaching since 1948; our student body is the most diverse in the state; most SLCC students transfer to four-year schools, though many launch direct-to-workforce careers; and we proudly offer 100+ degree programs across 8 areas of study. But there’s much more to our story.

Living & Working in Utah

SLCC is a fixture up and down the Salt Lake Valley. Wherever growth and innovation is happening, there’s an SLCC campus! For our employees, this means easy access to world-class outdoor recreation, sporting events, museums, history, arts and entertainment. Nationally, Utah is consistently lauded for its flourishing economy, affordable cost of living and strong communities. Visit Utah. You’ll see why SLCC employees love to call it home, and learn more about how and why to make it yours.

Our Benefits

We’re invested in your overall health — and your future. Our comprehensive compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement for employees and their dependents, community engagement leave, pet insurance and more. Visit Benefits Information to learn about our full range of part-time and full-time benefits.

Family Resources

We love our baby Bruins! To support your growing family, SLCC offers paid parental leave and onsite childcare on a space available basis at several of our campuses. As a full-time employee, your partner and college-age dependents will qualify for tuition waivers at SLCC, too.

Community Resources

We’re committed to strengthening community partnerships – both on and off campus. That’s why we give employees additional paid time off to participate in 24 hours of service and community involvement activities of their choice.

Living a healthy, thriving life is easier with a bit of an incentive! We use evidence-based health education programs to create our employee wellness activities; up to $600 and 3 hours per week are available for full-time employees. Part-time employees are also eligible to participate in activities.
