South City Campus is committed to the performing arts. It is the home of the Grand Theatre – providing a rich blend of compelling theater performances each season, as well as outreach programming designed to welcome, educate, inspire, and entertain our community. The South City Campus will be the site of the Center for New Media with groundbreaking scheduled for late 2009.The Center will accommodate the College’s visual and performing arts programs and new media technologies. In 1992, Salt Lake Community College opened its South City Campus. Today the three-level complex serves more than 6,000 college students in nearly 100 classrooms, labs and student facilities. Many of the College’s humanities programs are housed at the site.
