In 1992, Salt Lake Community College opened its South City Campus. Today the three-level complex serves more than 6,000 college students in nearly 100 classrooms, labs and student facilities. With more construction on the way and a number of academic program additions, the South City Campus does a great job serving students across the Greater Salt Lake area.

South City Campus boasts many ethnic activities which promote diversity while increasing the level of education available at the site. South City, among other things, is committed to art – including housing the Grand Theatre, and two dance studios - and philosophy, hosting spring semester philosophy soliloquies.

South City is the only College campus with a full-size swimming pool. The pool is open to all SLCC faculty, staff and students.
