Students

You're a student and your schedule is super busy.  We understand that.  We are here to help you find a service opportunity that fits your needs.  Whether you have a few hours each week or you're looking for a one-time project, whether you are assigned to perform service for a course or you just want to spend time in the community...we can help.

We can also provide resources on service-related scholarships, community work-study jobs, service-learning classes, and more.

Faculty

Service-learning is a method of teaching that enhances your curricula and meets your course's learning outcomes in innovative, dynamic ways. It combines service to the community and academic instruction, with a focus on critical thinking and civic responsibility.

The Exchange is your one-stop resource for service-learning handbooks, toolkits, grant opportunities, workshops, training events, and more. See you there!

Community Partners

You're working to meet community needs with limited time and resources. Partner with the Thayne Center for Service & Learning and let us help you. We can give you access to SLCC students that want to volunteer, including those enrolled in service-learning courses.

You can register projects in The Exchange, our "online database", post an announcement in our weekly e-newsletter, or sign-up to table at SLCC.
