High School CE Students
The 3 Steps
Resources
Cost
Tuition
Tuition for Concurrent Enrollment courses is $5 per credit hour ($15 for a 3 credit hour class, $20 for a 4 credit hour class, etc.). Tuition must be paid each semester and payment instructions can be found here.
Failure to pay the $5 tuition will result in a registration hold on your account that will prevent you from registering for future class and accessing your college transcript.
Fees
Some concurrent enrollment classes include school fees which are managed by the high school. Concurrent On-Campus classes will also have fees associated with them. These fees are charged to the student's account at the time of registration and should be paid each semester.
Textbooks
You may be required to purchase textbooks, workbooks and other materials required for concurrent enrollment courses. In some cases, high schools may purchase classroom sets for student use. Textbooks may be purchased at the SLCC Bookstores or online.
Electronic Textbooks
Some courses have required electronic textbooks or "inclusive access" materials that integrate into the Canvas course. These costs are charged to a student's account at the time of registration and should be paid each semester.
Private Schools
Private schools do not receive state funding to offset the costs of concurrent enrollment. If you are attending a private high school that has a contract to offer concurrent enrollment through SLCC, you must pay an additional fee on top of the $5/credit hour tuition to offset the cost of running the concurrent enrollment program.
