Salt Lake Community College is a public facility and considered an open campus. The general community is welcome here, including minors.
Out of respect for all community members, Salt Lake Community College does not allow "fraudulent, harassing, obscene or pornographic messages and/or materials" to be downloaded, viewed, transmitted or stored on any SLCC computer. This is a violation of the SLCC Student Code of Conduct as well as Utah state laws. Anyone caught viewing, downloading, transmitting or storing pornography will be subject to sanctions as outlined by these regulations. Viewing Child pornography is also illegal and will be reported immediately to the police. See the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities for more information.
As an educational institution, Salt Lake Community College fully supports academic research. However, the primary purpose of the Student Express computer area is for students to access SLCC's web based information, functions and services. If you need to do research on web sites unavailable in this lab, please go to an open lab or the library.
