CURSOS DE BIOLOGÍA Y MATEMÁTICAS SERÁN IMPARTIDOS EN INGLÉS Y ESPAÑOL
Gracias por tu interés en los cursos de dos idiomas en SLCC. Esto es algo nuevo para nosotros y estamos emocionados de ver cómo esto funcionará. Entendemos que aprender un curso universitario puede ser un verdadero desafío, especialmente cuando también estás tratando de aprender inglés. Por esta razón, estamos ofreciendo dos de nuestros cursos más populares en formato bilingüe.
Durante el otoño 2020, BIOLOGY 1010 y MATH 0980 se ofrecerán en un formato bilingüe. Los cursos se enseñarán en inglés para ayudarte a practicar tus habilidades lingüísticas y al mismo tiempo, tu instructor usará el español para explicar conceptos complejos y responder a tus preguntas.
Todos los demás estudiantes en estas clases también serán estudiantes aprendices del idioma inglés. ¡Esto significa que podrán ayudarse mutuamente!
Ambos cursos tienen libros de texto gratuitos disponibles.
Los cursos se ofrecerán los días Lunes y Miércoles de la siguiente manera:
- Biología 1010 sección 351, de 5:30 p.m. a 6:50 p.m. y será impartido de forma remota / transmitido vía Internet.
- Math 0980 sección 203, de 8:00 a.m. a 9:50 a.m. y será impartido de forma remota / transmitido vía
- Math 0980 sección 362 de 2:30 p.m. a 4:20 p.m. en Campus de South City.

Thank you for your interest in dual language courses at SLCC. This is something new for us and we are excited to see how it will work. We know that learning in a college course can be a real challenge especially when you are also trying to learn English.
For this reason, we are offering two of our most popular courses in a dual-language format.
BIOLOGY 1010 and Math 0980 will both be offered in a dual-language format in Fall 2020. These courses will be taught in English to help you practice your language skills. At the same time, your instructor will use Spanish to explain challenging concepts and answer your questions.
All of the other students in your class will also be English-language learners. This means you will be in a community of learners facing the same challenges. This means you will be able to help each other!
Both of these courses have free textbooks available.
We will offer Biology 1010 section 351 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 6:50 pm as a Broadcast/Internet remotely delivered course. We will also offer Math 0980 section 203 from 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Mondays and Wednesdays via remote delivery/broadcast and section 362 from 2:30 pm to 4:20 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at South City Campus.
