Do you have ideas or projects that can build bridges and foster deeper respect and cooperation at the College or in our surrounding communities?
The Utah Cooperation Cohort (UCC) is offering micro grants—up to $5,000—for projects that intentionally promote cooperation across meaningful political, religious, ideological, and other differences.
The grant is open to all SLCC faculty, staff, and students. Cross-campus proposals are encouraged, as are proposals submitted in partnership with other organizations or individuals.
This opportunity is a result of a partnership with the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE), the University of Utah, and the nonprofit Interfaith America. All USHE institutions are participating.
Projects can take many forms. Research initiatives, curriculum development, internship and fellowship programs, service opportunities and community engagement as long as they reflect a commitment to bridge-building and fostering deeper respect and cooperation at the institution and in the surrounding community.
Grantees will also participate in a community of practice, supported by Interfaith America staff, to develop their own bridge-building skills throughout the year.
