In section 2.a., the Office of Sponsored Projects needs to be added to the list of departments that must be consulted when a contract involves a sponsored project.

I appreciate and highly support the inclusion of C.2.c.

Section C.2 - program-level articulation agreements should be excluded from legal review unless they are included in C.2.a

Need for Specific Language Requiring Coordination with Office of Sponsored Projects (A.2.a)

Section IV.A.2.b has been revised to state: “The department seeking contract approval must: obtain the cooperation and approval of the Office of Sponsored Projects when the contract is related to a sponsored project.”

Addition of Articulation Agreements to List of Contract Exempt from Legal Review (C.2)

No revision was made, however, there is a way for articulation agreements to be exempted from contract review. The commenter has advised General Counsel that there is an articulation agreement template or templates that has been designed by that office. Section IV.C.2.a exempts “contracts where both parties agree to and use an appropriate unaltered standard college contract template . . .” When a program uses a template, section IV.D.2 requires “the college legal office and Risk Management must review and make necessary revisions to contract templates every three years.” The articulation agreements template has not been reviewed by the legal office. If this program submits this template for review, these agreements can be excluded from review provided they are reviewed every three years by risk and legal.
