General Education Certificate

The General Education Certificate of Completion is foundational to continued work in a wide variety of majors and prepares students for further education, civic engagement, and lifelong learning. It consists of 34 credits in Core and Distribution areas, and is accepted by all public colleges and universities in Utah.

Associate's Degrees

Salt Lake Community College also offers full associate's degrees for incarcerated students. These degrees require an additional 27 credits beyond the General Education Certificate of Completion. At this time, students can complete associate's degrees in the following:

• Anthropology (A.S.)
• Business (A.S.)
• Criminal Justice (A.S.)
• General Studies (A.S.)
• History (A.A.)
• Paralegal Studies (A.A.S.)
