Student Transfer Steps

1. Create a list of 4-year schools you would like to transfer to and majors you are interested in.
2. Visit each school’s transfer admissions website and research their transfer admissions steps.
3. Work with your SLCC Academic Advisor AND meet with an Academic Advisor at your transfer school(s) as a prospective student. You can also meet with a transfer advisor to help explore transfer school options and finding on-campus resources at your transfer schools of interest.
4. Submit your transfer admissions application by the admissions deadline (and program date if applicable) along with your official SLCC transcripts to the school(s) you wish to transfer.
   • Ensure that your official transcripts are sent directly to your transfer school(s)—do not send official transcripts to your personal email.
5. Once admitted to your transfer school, register for transfer student orientation, and schedule an appointment with your new program academic advisor and the financial aid/scholarship office.
