Program Review Process and Guidelines

Program Review

The purpose of a program review process is to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the individual Non-Instructional Department on a five-year cycle. Program review is a reflective process that allows departments to describe and assess their functions and services and to identify areas that are performing well and areas that need improvement. It includes an external site visit and review that provides outside perspectives and recommendations. Program review also assists in the department's strategic planning and goal setting. Program review complements Northwest Commission on College and Universities (NWCCU) new accreditation standards, emphasizing the importance of implementing frameworks for continuous improvement through self-reflection and synthesis of data.
