Program Overview
This 48-hour course meets twice a week over an eight-week period. As a result of this Revit training course, participants will be able to apply the concepts of 3D modeling and navigate the Revit interface; create a building project using Revit project features and families; and collaborate with other users or disciplines to produce a coordinated model and document set. Topics include complimentary software such as Civil 3D, Navisworks, and BIM 360 Design.
This course qualifies participants for an industry-standard Certificate of Completion issued through Autodesk. Upon successful completion of the certificate, participants will qualify for entry-level positions, including Interior Designer, Revit Drafter, and Revit Designer.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Apply the concepts of 3D modeling and navigate the Revit interface
- Create a building project using Revit project workflow, features, and Revit families
- Collaborate with other users or disciplines to produce a coordinated model and document set
- Demonstrate building information modeling concepts
- Document construction of HVAC-Plumbing designs
- Complete Revit MEP design project
- Use parametric engineering design tools.
- Design electrical systems, including placement, creating circuits, setting up panel schedules, and adding cable trays and conduits.
- Create construction documents, add tags and schedules, and annotate details
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of all courses in the Basic Computer Skills program, students will receive:
- A Workforce Training Microcredential issued by SLCC
- An official Autodesk™ Certificate of Completion for Autodesk Revit Comprehensive
- An official Autodesk™ Certificate of Completion for Revit MEP Electrical
- An official Autodesk™ Certificate of Completion for Revit MEP HVAC-Plumbing

The Autodesk Revit Comprehensive training, the Revit MEP HVAC-Plumbing training, and the REVIT MEP Electrical training are eligible for Strategic Workforce Initiative (SWI) funding to cover 50% of tuition costs. This financial aid option makes our affordable training even more accessible.
Strategic Workforce Initiative (SWI) funding pays up to 50% of training costs for multiple programs leading to high-demand careers. This educational funding is available for Utah residents and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
