Program Overview
These SolidWorks courses provide hands-on instruction for creating 3D engineering drawings and assemblies. Guided by industry experts, you will learn the core mechanics of parametric modeling, mechanical assembly, and automated production drawings. Students will advance from simple shape modeling to fully parametric complex models while becoming a more efficient and effective designer for real-world design industries.
SolidWorks Essentials qualifies students for a certificate of achievement and prepares students to take the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) exam.
Advanced SolidWorks builds on the topics and techniques introduced in the basic to intermediate SolidWorks course and will prepare students to take the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) exam. To register for Advanced SolidWorks, participants must either have successfully completed SolidWorks Essentials or have Instructor approval.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Create 3D engineering drawings and assemblies using sketch and modeling tools
- Calculate and modify parametric features and equations
- Demonstrate skills required to pass the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) exam
- Use advanced features to create specialized holes
- Create complex shapes, with and without hybrid modeling, using surface tools
- Apply tolerances to parts, assemblies, and drawings
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of all courses in the Basic Computer Skills program, students will receive:
- A Workforce Training Microcredential issued by SLCC
